The Testing Coordinator ensures 100% of students perform to their best ability in a conducive testing environment. This role supports teachers and leaders in making data-driven decisions, helping achieve IDEA Public Schools' mission of college readiness for all students. By managing appropriate tests, accommodations, and environments, the Testing Coordinator allows the leadership team to focus on student support and family engagement.

Responsibilities
- Ensure 100% of students have high-quality testing environments for district, state, and national tests.
- Attend 100% of scheduled trainings with the national Assessment Team and actively participate in learning (e.g., TEAMS group, newsletters, manuals).
- Create and communicate campus testing plans for all assessments to managers, lead teams, teachers, and staff.
- Coordinate with campus IT to ensure all testing computers are updated and ready before test day.
- Ensure all testing coordinators and students have access to appropriate online testing systems.
- Prepare 100% of testing bins 72 hours in advance, including small-group testing and supplemental materials.
- Review testing bin contents with proctors 2 days prior to testing and ensure proper implementation.
- Audit accommodations and supplemental materials with special programs point persons (SPED, ELL, 504, RTI) before testing.
- Process and manage state assessment materials per district guidelines, including check-in/check-out with the national Assessment Team.
- Audit 100% of paper test booklets and answer documents with a test-security trained lead team member to verify student information.
- Execute 100% of deliverables requested by the national Assessment Team (e.g., data reporting, student counts, computer needs).
- Serve as the school’s designated ACT, PSAT, and/or AP Coordinator, if appointed by the principal.
- Maintain fewer than 5 procedural irregularities and fewer than 3 serious testing irregularities per school.
- Lead campus testing training to teach staff assessment policies and procedures.
- Schedule biweekly meetings with special programs point persons to ensure accommodations are updated in systems (e.g., ELLevation, TestHound) by deadlines.
- Meet with test proctors at least 2 days before testing to ensure proper implementation of accommodations.
- Oversee testing sessions to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Provide and solicit feedback from test support staff, proctors, and leaders after each session to improve future testing.
- Set up and monitor online testing systems to ensure 100% of students test in the correct format with approved accommodations.
- Partner with campus IT to ensure 100% of equipment is prepared for online assessments 48 hours in advance.
- Lead investigations of testing irregularities and report incidents to the national Assessment Team by close of business the same day.
- Ensure 95% completion rates for all assessments by deadlines on the assessment calendar.
- Provide teachers and leaders access to assessment systems for data analysis.
- Update Illuminate Permission Groups to ensure teachers of record have access to district exams.
- Serve as the primary point person for all testing systems and train/support their use at the campus level.
- Monitor scanning of assessments to meet the 95% multiple-choice components scanned within 24 hours of testing.
- Track and monitor testing to ensure 100% of eligible students complete all applicable assessments.
