About the Role

This is a Human Capital & Resources Management Career Field position. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of office automation equipment to conduct mission requirement tasks.
• Ensures test results are reported to the correct personnel and through the correct automated systems.
• Utilizes phones and/or email to communicate with a variety of customers.
• Ensures compliance with testing standards by performing quality control of examinations.
• Distributes and/or proctors examinations to ensure compliance with testing standards.
• Cross-trains in other functions of the MEPS (such as processing) and performs these functions as required.
• Handles accountable test material.
• Conducts test sessions at remote sites, including administration of high school tests at inner city, rural, and/or at-risk schools with large populations (greater than 100 students).
• Frequent local travel and occasional Temporary Duty (TDY) may be required (may require hotel stay for multiple nights to meet mission requirements).

Schedule

• Occasional evening and weekend work is required:
  • Evenings (if applicable): 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Saturdays: 5:30 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Sundays (if applicable): 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Morning Opening Shift: 5:30 AM – 2:30 PM

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must be in possession of or have the ability to obtain a driver’s license.
• One year of specialized experience which includes:
  • Conducting qualification tests;
  • Distributing testing materials and inventory of materials; and
  • Operating a variety of office automation equipment.
  This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).
• OR: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college, or university.
• OR: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
• If using foreign education to qualify, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and deemed equivalent to a U.S. accredited program.
