Testing Clerk

Position Overview The Clerk, Testing provides clerical, proctoring, intake, placement, and assessment services for adult education students across multiple sites. The role involves administering and scoring assessments, assisting students with registration and class placement, and conducting orientations. It requires delivering exceptional customer service to students, faculty, staff, and community members, while maintaining accurate testing records. Key Responsibilities Support student registration, testing, and class placement processes.Administer and score assessments both in paper/pencil and online formats.Coordinate with staff to ensure proper testing and placement.Monitor class sizes and maintain detailed testing records.Conduct orientations and communicate with students regarding registration and start dates.Collaborate with colleagues, vendors, and stakeholders to facilitate testing services.Travel between campuses and sites as needed. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent; two years of office experience.Strong computer, internet, and organizational skills.Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to handle sensitive information professionally and work with diverse populations.Valid driver’s license and vehicle for travel between sites. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of assessment systems like Colleague, Daisi, TABE, and CASAS.Associate’s degree and bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.Experience in detail-oriented customer service environments and multicultural competence. Physical & Working Conditions Standard office environment with travel to multiple locations.Flexible schedule including days, evenings, and occasional weekends.Ability to remain organized during busy testing periods.
