About the role
Power Up is seeking an experienced PLC Programmer and Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical testing, specifically in the context of manufacturing environments.
Responsibilities
- Upload PLC programs and interconnect field devices such as motors, sensors, and switches.
- Perform system tests to ensure correct device and system functions.
- Document completed panels with photo documentation and mark-up engineering drawings (red-lines).
- Prepare engineering change orders and document test findings.
- Write and update test procedures as needed.
- Support manufacturing operations as required.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or Technology or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years’ experience in electrical testing in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with UL508A and IPC A620 standards.
- Experience using standard testing tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
- A thorough understanding/training in Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures.
Qualifications
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Operate a pallet jack as needed.
Skills
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PDF creation, digital camera operation, and cloud-based file storage.
