About the Role
We're seeking a skilled Electronic Repair Technician to join our team and take charge of testing and repairing vital electronic systems in Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and other critical power equipment. This role offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in troubleshooting, repairing, reverse engineering, and calibrating complex electronic components to ensure the reliability of essential power systems.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS) and other critical power equipment, assemblies, and components utilizing schematics and test equipment
- Refurbish critical power equipment, UPS systems, and battery systems
- Utilize company software systems to document activities, status of work, details of repairs, and sourcing of parts
- Repair and calibrate UPS and critical power systems to OEM factory specifications
- Maintain a professional-looking work area with attention to detail and safety
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, and team-based project experience
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematic diagrams, and wiring diagrams
- Thorough working knowledge of Ohm's law, single-phase, and three-phase power systems
- Thorough familiarity with tools and test equipment such as oscilloscope, amp clamp, DVM, and thermal imager
Qualifications
Preferred experience: Associate's degree in electronics engineering or equivalent; equivalent work/military experience in power/critical power industry.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear
- Frequently required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Occasionally required to sit
- May occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
