Test Operator - 3rd Shift

About the role

Seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Production Test Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine testing of current transformers (CT) as well as tightness testing (gas leak chambers) of circuit breakers, and dielectric testing in the High Voltage lab to ensure compliance with customer specifications, internal quality standards, and testing requirements. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient testing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform current transformer (CT) tests measuring Hi‑pot, ratios, and additional testing as needed per approved Inspection and Test Plans (PIT) using appropriate equipment, manuals, and standards; troubleshoot and communicate failures via Quality Concern Reports (QCRs).
• Perform gas tightness testing on circuit breakers per approved PIT using appropriate equipment, manuals, and standards; troubleshoot, locate leaks, and communicate failures via QCRs.
• Perform high voltage dielectric testing on circuit breakers per approved PIT using appropriate equipment, manuals, and standards; troubleshoot, locate leaks, and communicate failures via QCRs.
• Move breakers into, out of, and around the lab using appropriate equipment while following safety rules.
• Check vacuum levels of breakers before testing to ensure they meet specifications.
• Handle gas at the workstation: fill and reclaim circuit breakers with gas per established procedures and safety rules.
• Accurately document test data, prepare test reports, and ensure full traceability of test records.
