Test Engineering Intern

Responsibilities
Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment. Responsibilities may include:
- Support characterization, validation, and production testing of mixed-signal and analog semiconductor devices using Automated Test Equipment (ATE)
- Analyze wafer sort and final test data to identify yield trends, electrical failures, and opportunities for test optimization
- Assist in debugging test hardware, probe cards, load boards, and test programs to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency
- Collaborate with product, design, and manufacturing engineers to investigate issues and perform root cause analysis on failing devices
- Execute bench-level electrical testing using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, and signal generators to validate device performance
- Develop Python, LabView and Excel-based automation tools for data analysis, report generation, and test result tracking
- Perform correlation studies between characterization and production test environments to ensure measurement accuracy and test consistency
- Document test procedures, debugging findings, and engineering reports to support product qualification and release activities
- Support new product introduction (NPI) activities by evaluating engineering samples and validating test coverage
- Contribute to yield improvement initiatives through statistical analysis of test data and identification of manufacturing process variations
Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Basic understanding of semiconductor devices, electronic circuits, and testing methodologies
- Classwork or experience with Analog/RF Signal Fundamentals is preferred
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, and signal generators
- Experience with programming or scripting languages such as Python, C/C++, or MATLAB is a plus
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, wafer sort, or automated test equipment (ATE) is preferred
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn new technologies and processes
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail

Pay
Competitive hourly pay commensurate with experience: $31/hr – $42/hr (subject to change dependent on physical location). Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Qorvo reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as external competitiveness and internal comparability.
