Test Engineer Technician – Level III

Location: Cookeville, TN - OnsiteTravel: Less than 10%Relocation: Available to those that qualify In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Builds, repairs and prepares articles for testing and associated auxiliary equipment. Installs test article into test structure (test cell, table, rig, etc.). Perform tests in accordance with set test methods. ResponsibilitiesPerforms testing in accordance with established test procedures and methodology.Consistently provides accurate and reliable test results.Has an in-depth understanding of the function of the test equipment used to perform tests and the contribution of the test equipment to the validity of the test results.Configures and operates data acquisition systems; analyzes and reviews data for appropriateness.Has an in-depth understanding of the functioning of the product under test to assess the contribution of the product to the validity of the test results.Performs test stand installation, troubleshooting and setups and the upkeep and maintenance of laboratory equipment.Provides support/recommendations to engineering for equipment supplier evaluation and qualification, equipment and facility updates and instrument specification.Complete Diesel Fuel filtration related testing in support of unique business challengesThis includes industry standardized testing and non-standard testing. Needs to be detail driven and observantCollecting test data and post-processing into test reports and testing presentations.Complete data quality reviews and work alongside the Test Engineering teams to troubleshoot issues observed.Managing Lab Workflow by documenting and tracking testing completed.Test equipment maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting.Support non-standard test method development.Test System development and integration of instrumentation and automation.Strong documentation skills.A strong understanding of Mechanical and Fluid systems/dynamics.Strong hands-on skills.Performs other duties as required. Education, Licenses, CertificationsHigh school diploma, certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience in an appropriate STEM field is required.Regionally applicable certification or two-year associate's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field of study preferred.This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.Base salary range: $56,958 to $71,197/ yearPlease note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range.
