Test Engineer - LabVIEW

About the role

Cira Tek is seeking a Full Time Test Engineer to join our team in Illinois, Springfield. This position will be responsible for developing and executing test instructions and procedures, collaborating with a geographically distributed team, and supporting multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test instructions and procedures
• Collaborate with a geographically distributed team
• Support multiple projects through various test environments
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting

Requirements

• Experience in telecom/Datacom field is strongly desired
• 5+ years of experience working as a Test Engineer within a manufacturing environment
• Experience in C required (experience in National InstrumentsLabWindows/CVI a plus)
• LabVIEW experience required
• Basic knowledge of networking infrastructure and protocols
• Experience in developing test instructions and procedures
• General knowledge of high speed PCBA and mechanical manufacturing processes
• Experience collaborating as member of geographically distributed team and partners
• Effective verbal and written communication skills. Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences
• Motivated, team-oriented individual with strong problem-solving abilities
• Open to a work-life balance which includes daytime and evening meetings plus various periods of accelerated effort addressing critical issues impacting shipments
• Ability to support multiple projects through various test environments
• Excellent troubleshooting/debug skills

Qualifications

• BA/BS Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent experience

Skills

• Git/GitHub experience is a plus
• Familiarity with POTS and video/RF circuits a plus
• Functional experience working with a database (specifically MySQL ) a plus
• Experience with fiber optics cleaning, cabling, and transceiver product familiarity a plus
• Familiarity with electrical, fiber optic, or RF test equipment a plus

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
