About the role
The NI ADG (Aerospace, Defense, Government Business Unit) Customer Centric Solutions Team is seeking to hire an experienced Senior Software Test Engineer to work on custom engineering opportunities that enable the sale of standard NI Products.
Responsibilities
- Interacting with a wide variety of NI customers, NI staff, external alliance partners and suppliers in support of designing, implementing and sustaining custom solutions
- Defining and implementing system test plans, managing milestones and holding reviews to assure systems meet requirements and readiness for deployment
- Verification of the developed tests to ensure compliance with and coverage of requirements
- Developing instrument drivers, test sequences, and applications using LabVIEW and TestStand for a wide range of NI and third-party test equipment
- Interface with our Systems Architects and Electrical Engineering team to provide strategic design implementation guidance to best enable testability of our systems
- Providing handoff and direct support of software test applications to customer engineering teams, including developing necessary documentation
Requirements
- B. S. Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other Engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
- 5+ years of experience developing test software using LabVIEW/TestStand
- Experience developing automated test software using PXI chassis and interfacing with some of the following: analog I/O cards, digital I/O cards, DMMs, oscilloscopes, National Instrument’s switching and signal routing systems, data acquisition devices, power supplies, RF analyzers, and RF power sensors
- Knowledge of hardware interfaces, such as GPIB, USB, Ethernet, and serial communication protocols

Pay
This position requires access to export-controlled technical data. Under International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), only U.S. Persons (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals as defined by 22 CFR120) may be considered.
Schedule
