Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with design engineering teams to understand test requirements, test plans, and procedures.
- Set up and operate testing equipment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Conduct a range of tests, including short-circuit tests, dielectric tests, partial discharge tests, impulse tests, insulation resistance tests, and power frequency tests, in accordance with requirements provided in industry standards and S&C’s internal standards.
- Accurately collect test data and measurements during testing.
- Analyze and interpret test results using statistical methods and engineering tools to draw meaningful conclusions and make data-driven recommendations.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues that arise during testing.
- Collaborate with other teams to develop solutions and improvements.
- Create and maintain drawings and documentation related to the lab’s processes, including but not limited to test reports, specifications, and user manuals.
- Train S&C team members on the lab’s processes, equipment, and test methods, to ensure that the lab has the relevant skills needed to meet testing demand and for efficient operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in electrical testing, or a related field.
- Sound understanding of electrical engineering principles, high-voltage testing methods, and safety practices.
- Proficient in data analysis and statistical evaluation methods, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Great verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical information and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Meticulous approach to testing, data collection, and documentation to ensure accuracy and precision.
- Ability to work in a team environment, contribute ideas, and support team goals.
- Adherence to safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
