Test Engineer II
About the role
The Test Engineer II supports the Product Manager Biometrics (PM BIO) under Project Manager Terrestrial Sensors (PM TS), Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE), Layered Protection, and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN). This position involves developing, integrating, and managing logistics actions for BCC systems, coordinating with various stakeholders, maintaining databases, researching system availability, managing fielding support services, and supporting training.
Responsibilities
- Develops, initiates, integrates, and manages all logistics actions associated with the life cycle management of BCC systems.
- Captures and maintains inventory records for both government and contractor-acquired property.
- Maintains databases for equipment, statistical usage, and other critical files to support metrics and reporting.
- Manages fielding support services, including the acquisition, inventory, delivery, installation, and property book services.
- Manages the shipment of equipment to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
- Supports on-site and remote training, including New Equipment Training (NET).
Requirements
- Required Bachelor’s Degree or Three (3) additional years of relevant experience
- Seven (7) years of relevant experience in logistics
- Experience in Integrated Logistics Support and System Lifecycle Support areas of the DoW application
- Experience planning supply support, technical logistical data, packaging, handling, storage, and transportation
- Proficiency with logistics and inventory management systems such as PIEE GFP Module and Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS)
- Experience sustaining and sunsetting hardware and software
