Test Engineer II
About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated Test Engineer II to support the development, qualification, and production testing of complex mechanical and fluid-based systems. This role will be responsible for planning, executing, and analyzing test campaigns for components and subassemblies throughout the product lifecycle, from fabrication through final delivery.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute component and subsystem test campaigns.
- Develop, author, maintain, and improve detailed test procedures and documentation.
- Lead test readiness reviews, pre-test briefings, and post-test evaluations.
- Analyze test data and generate reports to verify performance against requirements.
- Partner with design engineers to define test requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, and technician teams to safely execute testing activities.
- Identify, specify, and support procurement of test fixtures, support equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.
- Assist in the design and implementation of test hardware and tooling solutions.
- Drive process improvements that increase testing efficiency, throughput, reliability, and quality.
- Support multiple concurrent projects while meeting schedule and deliverable commitments.
- Ensure all testing activities are conducted in accordance with established safety and quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 3+ years of experience supporting engineering test programs, product validation, or hardware qualification activities.
- Experience developing and executing test procedures and analyzing test results.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer proficiency and data analysis capabilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative engineering environment.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in highly regulated or technically complex industries such as: Aerospace, Defense, Aviation, Automotive, Energy, Industrial Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Advanced Technology Development.
- Experience with the design, testing, operation, or production of: Hydraulic systems, Pneumatic systems, Cryogenic systems, Pressurized fluid systems, Actuated mechanical systems.
- Strong understanding of fluid system components including: Valves, Regulators, Actuators, Fittings, Flow control devices.
- Experience working with: Pressure transducers, Accelerometers, Instrumentation systems, Data acquisition systems, Automated test systems.
- Familiarity with environmental and qualification testing, including: Pressure testing, Leak testing, Vibration testing, Thermal testing, Environmental validation methods.
- Experience performing data reduction, analysis, and interpretation for engineering test programs.
- Experience managing multiple projects, schedules, and priorities simultaneously.
