Test Engineer I

About the role

Provide support to the development of new and revisions to existing products by testing and identifying product performance problems.

Responsibilities

• Validate Test Software.
• Perform root cause analysis on Production electrical failures.
• Specify test station equipment based on design requirements.
• Develop calibration plans to be entered into the Calibration system.
• Develop test station documentation including Test Plans, Schematics, and Database Structure.
• Assist in the training of Production associates to execute test software.
• Interface with other departments involved in the manufacturing process.
• Support CCA and ICA analysis processes.
• Evaluate and recommend potential new test equipment.
• Assemble test station components.
• Troubleshoot test station issues in Production.
• Research and implement continuous improvement projects.
• Perform Measurement System Analysis on test stations.
• Execute new product development procedures.
• Participate in seminars, meetings, and training sessions to maintain knowledge of new developments, techniques, and products in the industry.
• Evaluate and make recommendations to improve manufacturing methods.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in an Engineering discipline from a four-year college or university.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the electronics industry
• Familiarity with the APQP process
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma Concepts
