About the role

Military Occupational Specialty Codes: 91E, 91C, EM, HT, MK, DC, 1161, 1341, 3E1X1.

Responsibilities

  • Work safely and follow all protocols to remain safe while working in a chemical factory.
  • Understand the basics required in OSHA 30.
  • Work closely with experienced Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing Technicians in a semiconductor facility.
  • Maintain system and equipment balance during new installations and the de-installation of old process equipment.
  • Troubleshoot issues arising from designs not meeting the air requirements of the process equipment.
  • Work as a team, keeping each other accountable and safe, ensuring no one goes home in worse condition than when they arrived.
  • Assist in emergencies as needed during evenings and/or weekends when the customer requires it.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be a Sheetmetal Workers Union #359 member or willing to sign up for the apprentice program as a Union #359 member. Membership must be maintained throughout employment.
  • Must pass a drug screening (including THC) to be eligible for dispatch.
  • Proficient in English (written and spoken) to understand safety signs and follow technical instructions.
  • Must pass a background check, including:
    • Seven (7) years of applicable felony jurisdictions (including federal).
    • Five (5) years of applicable misdemeanor jurisdictions.
    • A nationwide criminal history crosscheck.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hard worker with a desire to learn and grow in the Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing industry.
  • Ability to follow written work plans and ask questions if there is a deviation from the scope of work.
  • Hold others accountable for following the Customer’s or ABM’s expectations and policies.
