Territory Service Manager
About the role
The Territory Service Manager (TSM) plays a crucial role in the operation of National Carwash Solutions, ensuring the company remains profitable and customer-focused.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage a team of 12-15 field service technicians and chemical delivery specialists
- Manage scheduling and training of field service technicians and chemical delivery specialists
- Establish performance goals for designated team of technicians
- Coach and guide direct reports in delivering company expectations in safety compliance, quality, and customer satisfaction
- Lead the team in providing operational and tactical solutions to customers
- Monitor and manage expenses, revenue, and margin targets
- Prepare and control operational budgets and inventory
- Plan effective strategies for the financial well-being of the business unit
- Communicate with customers and travel to assigned locations to promote good customer relations, ensure quality service, and secure contracts
- Act as the primary point of resolution for escalating customer issues and/or complaints, as well as internal/local concerns and complaints; resolve or escalate matters as necessary
- Maintain service metrics and KPI's
- Conduct Quality Control (QC) checks, field audits, site safety audits, and damage claim assessments
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in field service
- Minimum of 3 years’ managing an electro-mechanical team; proven history of ability to train, organize, lead, and motivate a team to succeed
- Overnight travel will be required
- Strong business acumen including understanding of P&L, financials, and KPI’s
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Possess a strong electrical-mechanical skill set
- Strategic thinker with proven track record in problem solving and analysis
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and Google
- Strong negotiation skills required
- Ability to prioritize multiple customer needs and/or conflicting priorities
- Six Sigma and/or Lean certification is a plus
- Knowledge of carwash equipment preferred
