Territory Sales Executive - Minnesota
Position Summary
The Territory Sales Executive (TSE) is responsible for driving specialty pharmacy sales growth by promoting CVS Specialty pharmacy services to targeted physician practices, medical clinics, hospitals, health systems, and academic institutions within an assigned territory. The TSE serves as the primary field-based representative for specialty providers, develops and executes territory business plans, builds strategic customer relationships, identifies new business opportunities, and consults customers on specialty pharmacy solutions. Success is measured through achievement of sales goals, customer satisfaction, provider engagement, business growth, and effective collaboration with internal sales and clinical partners.
Responsibilities
- Conduct frequent in-person customer visits throughout assigned territory
- Deliver professional sales presentations and business reviews to healthcare providers and decision-makers
- Develop and maintain strategic account plans aligned with business goals
- Track sales activities, referral trends, and account performance
- Communicate customer feedback, competitive intelligence, and market opportunities to leadership and business partners
- Represent CVS Specialty professionally in all customer interactions
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of healthcare, pharmaceutical, specialty pharmacy, biotechnology, or related sales experience
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales goals and revenue targets
- Experience building and managing provider relationships within physician offices, hospitals, clinics, or health systems
- Strong consultative selling, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Ability to analyze market data and develop strategic sales plans
- Strong communication, organizational, and territory management skills
- Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office applications
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to travel up to 50% within assigned territory, including overnight travel as business needs require
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Ability to perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Specialty pharmacy sales experience
- Experience selling products or services supporting complex disease states such as Oncology, Autoimmune, IVIG, Pulmonary Hypertension, IPF or other specialty therapies
- Experience working with hospitals, integrated delivery networks, academic medical centers, and specialty physician practices
- Knowledge of specialty pharmacy operations, reimbursement, buy-and-bill, and medical/pharmacy benefit structures
- Experience supporting infused and injectable therapies
- Home infusion, home nursing, or specialty care experience
- Demonstrated success in a highly matrixed healthcare organization
- Certified Professional Sales Executive (CPSE) or similar sales certification preferred
Pay
$75,500.00 - $158,304.00 annually. Actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
