About the role

This Territory Manager position within BD's Advanced Patient Monitoring (APM) division focuses on expanding patient reach and increasing utilization of APM technologies across care settings. The role targets a high-potential portfolio of community hospitals and long-tail opportunity accounts, requiring a proactive, self-starting individual with a hunter mindset to identify untapped opportunities and build relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Call on anesthesiologists, cardiac surgeons, critical care medicine, and EP Lab professionals.
  • Drive business growth within new and existing accounts by identifying opportunities and closing deals.
  • Analyze performance gaps and execute short-term regional strategies to meet sales targets.
  • Promote primary products including FloTrac Sensor, ClearSight cuff, Acumen IQ cuff/sensors, and ForeSight for continuous noninvasive blood pressure monitoring and tissue oximetry in outpatient surgeries.
  • Assist in enhanced surgical recovery, hypotension management, sepsis, and shock management.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a related field.
  • 3+ years of progressive sales experience.
  • Medical devices industry experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Good knowledge of the strengths and limitations of own products and competitor products.
  • Understanding of BU strategy, selling model, medical devices industry, and selling environment of the territory.
  • Develops understanding of assigned accounts and their challenges.
  • Good understanding of hemodynamic monitoring and/or cardiovascular anatomy, pathology, and physiology relevant to APM medical products.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understands customer needs and explains APM product features compared to competitor offerings.
  • Builds productive internal and external relationships.
  • Utilizes influencing skills on buying decisions using tact and diplomacy.

Territory

Covers all of Tennessee (except Memphis) and Huntsville, Alabama.
