About the role
The Territory Manager, Structural Interventions is a field-based position responsible for meeting or exceeding sales objectives in a specific territory. This role works closely with the Regional Director to identify and evaluate market opportunities, develop sales strategies, and establish pricing packages. The focus is on Abbott’s Amplatzer Congenital offering, which includes treatments for atrial septal defects, patent ductus arteriosus, ventricular septal defects, and patent foramen ovale.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and conduct sales calls to meet with current and potential customers to achieve revenue and unit growth objectives.
- Determine relevant factors for existing and potential accounts to effectively promote Abbott’s products to hospital personnel and physicians.
- Analyze quarterly and monthly sales figures to identify account needs and discuss issues with the regional manager.
- Identify key accounts and health care professionals to influence their clinical needs and goals.
- Observe procedures in hospitals to understand the characteristics and needs of physicians and lab staff.
- Create pricing packages that meet customer needs while adhering to company guidelines and policies.
- Maintain relationships with hospital personnel through various activities such as training, VIP trips, and presentations.
- Attend and participate in trade shows, conferences, and seminars to educate external customers on the merits of Abbott’s products.
- Assess trends in managed care, competitor strategies, and new product developments.
- Prepare and submit reports to sales management, analyzing and compiling relevant information.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Life Sciences or Marketing.
- 7+ years of related cardiovascular work experience, with 5+ years including Structural Heart or Electrophysiology specific sales experience.
- Verification of compliance with vendor credentialing requirements, which may include vaccination for COVID-19.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Life Sciences or Marketing.
- Strong sales and clinical orientation, experience with products for use in interventional cardiology, cardiac surgery, and electrophysiology (EP).
- Familiarity with echo cardiology and other indirect imaging techniques.
