Territory Manager - North and East Texas
About the Role
The Territory Manager position manages the Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) Electric Utility business in the Northern and Eastern Texas territory. This role involves developing functional knowledge of HPS products, planning and tracking opportunities, and growing HPS relationships. The position supports the Northern and Eastern regions of Texas, and candidates must live within the assigned territory.
Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed overall sales quota while driving Hubbell Power Systems market share growth.
- Effectively manage business relationships at all levels of the customer base.
- Assist the Regional Sales Director in territory planning, forecasting, and developing a strategic growth strategy.
- Manage key end-user accounts through consistent exposure and understanding of their business drivers and spending.
- Maximize product approvals for all product lines.
- Develop and execute short-term and long-term plans for overall market share growth.
- Analyze the market to identify new business opportunities.
- Drive end-user preference for Hubbell products.
- Work with internal departments (BU management, pricing group, customer service) to drive results.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree is required.
- 5-10 years of sales experience managing a territory; utility industry experience is highly preferred.
- Strength in prioritizing tasks to devote appropriate time to strategic areas.
- Must be a strong manager with a vision for the future of the territory and growth.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create and deliver persuasive presentations.
- Analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market data trends.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Self-motivated, accountable, and able to work independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills to cultivate customer relations and work with diverse team members.
- Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Must live within the assigned territory.
- Willing and able to travel up to 60%.
