About the Role
Territory Managers (TMs) meet on a timely and regular basis with authorized Srixon/Cleveland Golf accounts throughout an assigned territory, explaining the company culture, values, principles, philosophy, programs, and products. TMs will be courteous and professional while making sales that benefit both the customer and Srixon/Cleveland Golf.
Responsibilities
- Conduct sales and service visits to communicate, inform, present, and process orders with all accounts regularly and promptly.
- Be accessible and respond professionally to all customer and home office inquiries via in-person, phone, or email.
- Exceed customer expectations to create the highest quality experience.
- Maintain respect, integrity, and honesty in all interactions.
- Establish and maintain productive relationships with customers and individuals involved in the selling process.
- Make sales and service visits at the customer’s place of business, adhering to the following guidelines:
- Conduct formal product knowledge training seminars for staff and program accounts as needed.
- Host at least one annual event (e.g., demo day, short game clinic, fitting day, or promotional day) for all staff and program accounts.
- Average 4-6 sales calls per day during peak season and 2-4 per day during prebook season.
- For other customers, provide product knowledge sessions and demo/fitting days upon request, ensuring all customers understand company values, programs, and products.
- Increase sales through established distribution channels to enhance product presence.
- Strategically manage demo and personal use product, processing orders promptly.
- Adhere to company policies on credit, returns, and global distribution strategy.
- Manage, distribute, and maintain collateral materials to secure prime floor space.
- Identify potential new customer locations and assist in processing as needed.
- Keep the company informed of changes to customer status (e.g., contact details, addresses).
- Submit and update visitation and demo day activities as directed.
- Attend company-sponsored seminars, meetings, and trade shows.
- Submit territory absence or vacation plans for approval with at least two weeks' notice.
- Participate in yearly performance reviews and incorporate feedback.
- Do not represent other companies or products.
- Perform other assigned tasks and duties.
Qualifications
- Four-year college degree, preferably in marketing or a related business field; or comparable job experience at Srixon/Cleveland Golf (e.g., Customer Service, Tour, Tech Van) with a minimum of a high school diploma; or a combination of the above.
- Valid driver’s license (must maintain).
- Familiarity with computers and applications (e.g., Word, Excel).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Excellent language, math, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well with others and maintain customer/home office correspondence.
- Ability to take direction, act on critical feedback, and adapt accordingly.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand, walk over irregular surfaces, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Must drive a vehicle carrying product samples, displays, demo day tents, fitting carts, and supplies.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
The employee frequently works in outside weather conditions and occasionally near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
