Territory Manager - Iowa West / Minnesota South

About the role
As a Territory Manager, you’ll team up with a Clinical Diabetes Sales Specialist to bring our innovative insulin pump therapy to patients and providers in your community. You’ll leverage your industry sales experience to meet or exceed sales goals through strategic business planning and customer identification. This field-based role covers Western Iowa, including Des Moines/Ames, Mankato, Sioux City, and Mason City, with responsibilities extending into Southern Minnesota. Regular travel throughout the territory, including some overnight travel, is required.
Responsibilities
- Drive business growth by creating and executing smart territory plans.
- Identify opportunities, open doors, and build lasting partnerships with healthcare professionals (MDs, DOs, RNs, CDEs, RPhs, etc.) to create value.
- Leverage advanced sales methodologies—including the Challenger Selling Model and Strategic Account Management—along with strong communication and collaboration skills to demonstrate value and accelerate revenue growth.
- Deliver product education and ongoing support to providers, patients, and clinical educators.
- Represent Tandem at events, conventions, and community outreach.
- Maintain territory organization with accurate CRM tracking and timely reporting.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth sales and customer experiences.
- Ensure work is performed in compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA and other regulatory, legal, and safety requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) plus 3+ years of industry sales experience, preferably in diabetes, endocrinology, insulin infusion pumps, or managed care.
- Ability to travel up to 80% within your territory; valid driver’s license, insurance, and good driving record required.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving market.
Pay
The base pay for this position is $91,890 to $112,310 annually, with a target earning potential of $166,890 to $187,310 annually. Base pay varies based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and may fluctuate depending on candidate’s location and the overall job market.
