Essential Job Functions
- Grows sales and provides premium customer service to existing HVAC dealer accounts
- Identifies prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences
- Analyzes competitor activities in the region and assesses opportunities for business development
- Emphasizes product features based on analyses of customers' needs and on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations
- Negotiates prices or terms of sales
- Prepares sales contracts for orders obtained and submits orders for processing
- Attends trade shows to research and stays current with new products and technologies
- Attends conferences and conventions to meet other sales representatives and clients and discuss new product developments
- Participates in company-sponsored meetings to review sales performance, product development, sales goals, and profitability
- Collaborates with colleagues to exchange information such as selling strategies and marketing information
- Puts together sales strategies to target large accounts
