Kenworth Sales Co. is seeking a Territory Account Manager (Outside Parts Sales) to join their Las Vegas, NV team. Salary range: $80k-$120k. The position is drug-free due to federal DOT regulations.
JOB SUMMARY
The primary function of the Territory Account Manager is to solicit parts sales from new and established customers in assigned territories. Other responsibilities include maintaining market penetration, completing paperwork for parts orders, assisting with special orders, resolving customer issues, promoting Kenworth trucks, facilitating communication, and maintaining knowledge of the trucking industry.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Solicits sales of truck parts to customers within assigned territories.
- Maintains market penetration as required by the Corporate Parts Sales Manager.
- Completes necessary paperwork for parts orders and purchases.
- Affixes to purchasing clerk for special order documentation.
- Affixes to assist customers with problems related to parts sales, including returns and warranties.
- Maintains courteous and continuing relations with the customer base and keeps up-to-date knowledge of customers' industries and equipment needs.
- Promotes the sale of Kenworth trucks and services.
- Facilitates communication between customers and other departments.
- Maintains superior knowledge and expertise in the trucking industry, including Kenworth Trucks.
- Attends training courses and seminars as required by the Corporate Parts Sales Manager.
- Affixes to assist the Parts Manager with year-end inventory and other miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English instructions and information.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years sales experience in truck parts.
- Valid Driver’s License in good standing.
- Ability to use computer systems, Microsoft Office, and read vendor catalogs.
- Excellent organization and communication skills.
Working Conditions
- Includes both sedentary and other work.
- Part of the shift involves working at a desk in an office setting, doing paperwork, typing, and filing.
- Extensive telephone and correspondence work required on a daily basis.
- Part of the shift involves standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching to communicate with managers, employees, and customers.
- Lifting of at least 50 lbs. without assistance on a daily basis will be required.
- Employee will travel by car extensively within and outside the State on a daily basis.
- Exposure to noise, dust, exhaust fumes, and various hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
