Territory Account Manager - Florida

This is a remote position based out of Florida, covering a multi-state territory.

About the role

Achieve sales and gross margin objectives by promoting AKDO products to existing dealers and developing new markets through prospecting and networking. Competitive base salary and monthly commission.

Responsibilities

  • Grow AKDO’s business with dedicated and key accounts.
  • Engage with leadership at designated territory accounts to ensure healthy account growth and open up additional revenue opportunities for AKDO.
  • Seek out new business opportunities, identify new account partnerships, utilize creative marketing and tools; perform extensive customer needs analysis and site surveys, develop, and execute account strategies through proposals, virtual or in-person presentations, and product demonstrations.
  • Maintain, support, and grow existing dealer business through attentive account management.
  • Maintain CRM daily, entering all visits, samples & pricing inquiries, presentations, new contacts & accounts, and follow-ups.
  • Evaluate accounts based on performance and take necessary steps to grow business, such as closing poor-performing dealers in favor of stronger prospects and adding new accounts.
  • Conduct a minimum of 7-10 client appointments per week, in-person or virtually, with dealers, architects, and builders to:
    • Promote the Legacy Program to dealers and prospects.
    • Educate customers on AKDO product lines, website, and Boutique.
    • Provide account performance reviews.
    • Leverage business relationships to gain prominent display space to maximize AKDO product exposure.
    • Conduct product knowledge (PK) trainings.
    • Offer design ideas and suggestions.
    • Drop off samples.
    • Promote marketing opportunities, such as showroom installations, lunch and learns, events, etc.
  • Actively participate in liquidating slow-moving inventory.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, and merchandising techniques; communicate findings to management.
  • Identify and participate in industry-related events throughout the year, during and after business hours.
  • Work with accounting to ensure accounts are complying and current with their terms.
  • Greet and welcome all clients immediately upon entering the showroom; provide refreshments as needed.
  • Close sales by working closely with clients as they select their product.
  • Utilize CRM to effectively manage sales opportunities and exceed client’s expectations.
  • Enter sample orders into the ERP system; prepare, pack, and ship sample orders for clients.
  • Maintain the appearance of the showroom and sample room.
  • Order general and office supplies.
  • Maintain daily staffing and visitor logs.
  • Open and close the showroom as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
  • 5+ years of outside sales experience in a wholesale environment.
  • Tile and stone industry experience preferred.
  • Territory management experience.
  • Proven sales, presentation, and negotiation skills along with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
  • Results-driven with solid interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Exercise independent judgment and demonstrate solid time management and organizational skills.
  • Able to adjust to sudden changes in workflow and meet demanding deadlines.
  • Comprehend, analyze, and react to sales trends and reports.
  • Use of technology to enter orders, product inventory queries, and scheduling of appointments.
  • Travel, schedule, and plan trips; travel up to 80% of the time with overnight travel required.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Enterprise Resource Management (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and Power BI.
  • Working knowledge and use of social media (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest).
  • Perform calculations including converting common fractions and decimals and calculating gross margin percentage.
  • Work a flexible schedule.
  • Lift and carry up to 40 pounds unassisted.

Pay

$90,000 – $125,000 per year plus commission.
