About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail‑oriented Service Assistant to support the success of our customer experience. This key position ensures a clean, organized dining room, timely table service, prompt and accurate delivery of menu items, and seamless collaboration across service roles. It’s ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, guest‑facing environment and is eager to learn and grow within the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food and beverages accurately, with an understanding of menu details.
• Assist with guest needs and relay questions or concerns to the appropriate team member.
• Clear and reset tables within 3 minutes of guest departure.
• Assist with packaging takeout orders.
• Maintain awareness of the dining room and proactively assist where needed.
• Keep kitchen expo areas, service stations, and dining room clean and organized.
• Polish and restock silverware, glassware, and plateware throughout the shift.
• Monitor and remove trash and recycling regularly.
• Ensure safe and clear walkways for guests and staff at all times.
• Memorize table and seat numbers to aid in efficient service.
• Learn menu details, ingredients, and allergen protocols.
• Communicate guest concerns clearly to team leads.
• Assist FOH staff during high‑volume periods.
• Help with opening and closing duties, including setting/resetting the dining room.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or food‑service experience preferred, but not required.
• Polished, professional appearance with a positive, team‑oriented attitude.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible availability (may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and select holidays).
• Physically able to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lb.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
