About the Role

Termite Technicians use their expertise to protect customers' properties from wood-destroying organisms. As a Termite Technician, you are the first line of defense in preserving and safeguarding customers' properties. The inspections, prevention, and treatment services you provide will create peace of mind and comfort for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Identify customer’s termite problems and determine remedial steps based on knowledge of termite behaviors and habits
  • Perform termite treatment services safely and according to company guidelines and standard practices
  • Apply anti-termite treatments to structures following schedule, safety procedures, and label instructions
  • Communicate to the customer critical conditions conducive to termite activity, discuss procedures, and recommend structural modifications
  • Verify job specifications are appropriate for each work order
  • Operate and maintain service vehicles and equipment
  • Complete production forms documenting services provided
  • Interact with customers and explain services provided

Essential Job Functions

  • Tolerate a variety of environmental conditions, including seasonal weather, damp and/or dusty locations
  • Prepare job sites for treatment
  • Enter and exit structures and crawl spaces; climb over and on top of structures; ascend and descend stairs and ladders
  • Work comfortably at heights up to 20 feet on a ladder and in small confined spaces
  • Perform tasks requiring regular sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), such as an OSHA-compliant respirator
  • General laborer, carpentry, cement, roofing, gutter, and attic experience is a plus
  • Ability to work on roofs and high areas

Requirements

  • Clean-shaven face for safety reasons (rebreathers must seal properly)
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license from state of residence (company vehicle and gas card provided)
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience; termite control experience is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Flexibility to work Monday–Friday and Saturdays as needed
  • Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by the company)
  • Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to follow instructions for mixing products as specified on labels
