Terminal Manager

About the role

The primary responsibility of the Silvi Materials Terminal Manager is to ensure efficient and timely delivery of RCM products and materials to customers. This involves managing facilities, employees, systems, and schedules associated with bulk storage and material loading.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily responsibilities and ongoing performance of two load-out employees.
• Ensure the material readiness of silos and domes for receiving and delivering cement from bulk handling systems to trucks and outside customers.
• Manage the dispatch activities including scheduling and ensuring next-day deliveries for bulk trucks and dump trucks.
• Provide a weekly vehicle mileage and equipment hours report via email to the Parts Manager and terminal operations manager.
• Conduct monthly environmental audits and quarterly safety inspections.
• Order parts and materials and complete purchase orders (POs).
• Maintain the highest standard of quality and safety in all areas of operations.
• Oversee efficient operations related to personnel and scheduling.
• Manage the schedule and performance of maintenance.
• Ensure proper stock inventories are maintained (raw materials, machinery/vehicle parts, etc.).
• Hold operation meetings to discuss overall goals such as efficiency, vehicle operations, staffing, safety, environmental compliance, and facility maintenance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Supply Chain, or Logistics preferred.
• Experience in an industrial or manufacturing facility, plant, factory, terminal, concrete plant, mine, or warehouse required.
• Hands-on experience with maintenance and machinery required.
• Able to work a 50-65+ hour work week or as needed, including Saturdays.
• Excellent and clear communication skills, bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
