Terminal Manager

About the role

The Terminal Manager oversees daily transportation and warehouse operations at Loffredo Fresh Foods' Council Bluffs branch. This role involves leading and developing team members, managing driver performance, collaborating with maintenance for vehicle repairs, and ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to the transportation staff and warehouse
• Manage employee schedules to ensure proper daily staffing levels
• Cook up and coordinate run backs or seconds with the team to ensure customer service
• Communicate and collaborate effectively and professionally with co-workers, customers, and team members, both internal and external
• Interview, hire, train, and develop staff members
• Provide coaching sessions on correct driver behavior through the use of Drive Cam
• Work closely with on-site maintenance department on all repairs
• Perform other job-related duties as required

Requirements

• H.S. Diploma or GED required
• Bachelor in Supply Chain Logistics or related field preferred, or 3-5 years of previous leadership experience in a Transportation department or location
• Basic knowledge of routing software such as Road Net, Dispatch Track, etc.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and hours of service required
• Must be customer-driven and have both internal and external customer focus
• Strong leadership and ability to develop team members
• Available after hours to deal with transportation or team member issues

Pay

$70,000 - $80,000 based on experience
