Tenure Track Faculty Position, Gastroenterology - Associate or Full Professor

About the role

The Division of Gastroenterology in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the tenure track.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching responsibilities may include teaching Penn students, residents and fellows, as well as graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
  • Clinical responsibilities may include care that specializes in IBD, motility/physiology, Hepatology, advanced endoscopy, and/or general gastroenterology.
  • The selected candidate may be required to provide these services at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP), Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC), Pennsylvania Hospital (PAH), and/or Penn Medicine at Radnor (PMR).
  • Research or scholarship responsibilities may include working on research in the field of gastroenterology, as well as collaboration with members of labs in their research and give their contributions.

Requirements

  • Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree.
  • Applicants must be board certified/eligible in internal medicine and gastroenterology.

Qualifications

  • Rank will be commensurate with experience.
  • Outstanding qualifications in research.
  • Ability to provide management and/or leadership.

Skills

  • Excellent teaching skills.
  • Ability to secure and retain research funding.
