The Center for Stem Cell & Organoid Medicine (CuSTOM) at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC) is seeking innovative and collaborative investigators to fill Tenure-Track Assistant Professor positions.

About the role

CuSTOM is a multi-disciplinary center of excellence, dedicated to accelerating discovery and advancing bench-to-bedside translation. The center comprises developmental and stem cell biologists, clinicians, bioengineers, and entrepreneurs who collaborate to study human development, disease, and regenerative medicine using pluripotent stem cells and organoid platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent research
  • Collaborate with other faculty members within the CuSTOM center
  • Access to state-of-the-art core facilities, including a human pluripotent stem cell facility, infrastructure for patient iPSCs, CRISPR genome editing, high-throughput single-cell genomics, biomedical informatics, a Nikon Center of Excellence, and the CUSTOM Accelerator lab dedicated to clinical translation and commercial partnerships
  • Contribute to the advancement of knowledge in their field and participate in the development of innovative approaches to stem cell and organoid research
  • Pursue research goals and secure external funding

Requirements

  • PhD, MD, or MD/PhD degrees focusing on basic or translational research in human development or disease using stem cells or organoid models
  • Investigators using single-cell analysis, live imaging, or computational approaches will benefit from ongoing investment in these areas
