Tenure-Track Assistant Professor
About the role
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Rutgers University–New Brunswick invites applications for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor in Structural Engineering. Applications at the Associate Professor level will also be considered.
Responsibilities
- Develop a strong research program in Structural Engineering, particularly in innovative and smart materials for infrastructure/structural applications, resilient structures and materials, the integration of AI/ML in structural optimization, digital twin technology, advanced computational mechanics, and additive manufacturing in structural engineering.
- Contribute to existing and developing new teaching and training programs at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
- Provide service to the department, the school, and the university.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Structural Engineering or a related field, and a strong record of research and teaching.
