About the role

The Department of Chemistry at the University of Massachusetts Lowell consists of 26 full-time faculty and offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in nearly every sub-discipline of chemistry. The department is growing.

Responsibilities

• Teach Chemistry and/or Polymer Science at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Develop an active, high‑quality, externally funded and internationally recognized research program.

Qualifications

• Applicants at the Assistant Professor level are invited to apply.
• Open to all areas of chemistry, with specific interest in:
• Materials chemistry (broadly defined, including polymers)
• Artificial intelligence applications to experimental design, data‑driven discovery, and autonomous experimentation in chemistry
• Biophysics and biomaterials
• Radiochemistry
