Fordham Law School invites applications for entry-level and lateral full-time tenured and tenure-track faculty positions, with an expected start date for the fall 2027 semester.
About the role
We welcome applications from candidates across all areas of law, especially in professional responsibility, criminal law, constitutional law, property, and alternative dispute resolution. Our search this year will focus primarily on entry-level candidates; however, we remain open to applications from lateral candidates. We are seeking individuals who are, or have the potential to become, scholars and teachers of the highest caliber, who encompass a range of perspectives and methodologies, and who are committed to institution-building and service. We welcome applications from all qualified candidates, including those applicants who have faced barriers to entering the legal academy.
Fordham Law School is a national leader in the field, with approximately 1600 students in our JD, LL.M., and M.S.L. programs. Fordham is the Jesuit University of New York and serves students of all faiths, including those with no faith.
Requirements
- J.D. degree or an advanced degree in a relevant field
- Relevant experience such as teaching, legal practice, or judicial clerkships
- Demonstrated scholarly promise, as evidenced by publications in scholarly journals or works in progress
Pay
The salary range for this position is $175,000 to $290,000, dependent on experience in academia. Any summer research funding is in addition.
