Tennis/Pickleball Coach

About the role

TGA of North Central NJ is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated coaches to teach tennis and/or pickleball to children aged 5-14. The position offers flexible scheduling options throughout the school year and summer, accommodating various commitments.

Responsibilities

• Teach tennis and/or pickleball skills to children
• Incorporate educational and character development elements into lessons
• Incorporate proper etiquette into lesson plans
• Create a fun and safe environment for students
• Work 1-6 days per week, typically 2-5 hours per day during the school year and up to 6+ hours during the summer
• Assist in leading programs year-round

Requirements

• At least 16 years old
• Available during after-school hours, typically 2:30pm and later
• A reliable source of transportation
• Able to step out of your comfort zone and be a kid
• Passionate about working with children and coaching sports
• A clean background check
• High energy, flexible schedule, punctual, passionate, and creative
• Comfortable communicating with children and parents
• Commit to at least one full session (sessions are by season)
