Tennis/Pickleball Coach

About the role

TGA of North Central NJ is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated coaches to join our team. This opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about teaching tennis and/or pickleball to children aged 5-14. Our mission is to provide a fun and safe environment where kids learn skills, gain education, develop character, and learn proper etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Teach tennis and/or pickleball to children in schools or community settings
• Incorporate educational and character development elements into coaching sessions
• Maintain a high level of safety and fun in all coaching activities
• Work flexible schedules, ranging from 1 day per week to 6 days per week
• Be available during after-school hours, typically from 2:30pm onwards

Requirements

• At least 16 years old
• Reliable source of transportation
• Able to step out of your comfort zone and be a role model for kids
• Passionate about working with children and coaching sports
• Clean background check
• High energy, flexible schedule, punctual, passionate, and creative
• Comfortable communicating with both kids and parents
• Commit to at least one full session (sessions are by season)

Schedule

Coaches can work 1 day per week all the way to 6 days per week, with varying hours during the school year and summer.
