Tennis Facility Positions - Seasonal

About the Role

Montgomery County Parks, Enterprise Division, is seeking dynamic, energetic, and fun seasonal/intermittent applicants for exciting positions at either the Pauline Betz Addie Tennis Center at Cabin John Regional Park or the Wheaton Indoor Tennis Center in Wheaton, MD. Work hours are flexible and may include weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Both facilities are open year-round.

Responsibilities

• Performs program and/or facility management duties in assisting management staff.
• Serves as the facility’s first point-of-contact for customer questions and/or concerns.
• Assists full-time managers in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the facility, inspecting for cleanliness, safety issues, and sanitation.
• Handles opening and closing duties for the facility.
• Processes program registrations, rental applications, and court reservations.
• Performs basic computer functions (e.g., data entry).
• Performs cash handling, prepares daily bank deposits, and runs cash reports.

Requirements

• Weekend and evening work is required.
• Comfortable performing basic computer functions.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Pleasant demeanor, ability to work independently, and knowledge of facility programs, fees, and policies.
• Must attain First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications (training classes available).
• Must pass a background investigation prior to hire.

Pay

Starting pay is $15.45/hr, based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

These positions are seasonal (part-time) and do not include benefits. Work hours are flexible and may include weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
