Seasonal Assistant Tennis Professional
Summary
The Assistant Tennis Professional is a year-round position at the Country Club of Colorado in Colorado Springs, CO. The focus is on coaching tennis and pickleball to players of all ages. You will join a team of 5 professionals and be involved in all racquet operations, including planning and running events and camps, upkeep and cleanliness of all facilities, and racquet re-stringing and repair.
Qualification Standards
- High level High School/College playing experience preferred.
- USPTA or USPTR preferred.
- At least 2 to 3 years of coaching in the tennis/pickleball industry.
- Experience coaching all junior and adults, in private and group setting.
- College degree is preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office.
Physical Requirements
- Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to stand and/or walk during entire shift.
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required.

- Comply with Troon Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
- Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
- Must be able to understand and apply complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
- Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Duties & Functions
- Knows all aspects of all positions within the department.
- A motivated and team-oriented individual.
- Coaching junior classes, private lessons, camps, match play and academy.
- Instruct adult drills, private lessons, and camps.
- Coaching pickleball drills, private lessons, and camps.
- Organizing and running mixers or round robins for tennis, pickleball and juniors.
- Does weekly walkthroughs with the team to ensure Director of Tennis of all repairs that need to be achieved.
- Helps maintain an organized office.
- Always comply with standard and regulations to encourage safe and efficient tennis operation.
- Maintain regular attendance.
