This position is located at Reelfoot Lake State Park and requires weekend and holiday work on a rotating basis.

Operate a variety of tools and equipment in indoor and outdoor conditions.
Perform landscaping and equipment operation at a semi-skilled level.
Support the general maintenance of park equipment; maintain and keep all equipment in good working condition.
Conduct basic electrical, plumbing, masonry, mechanical repair, and painting.
Complete minor janitorial duties.
Share technical knowledge and skills to facilitate accomplishing projects as a team.

Experience equivalent to two years of skilled full-time labor and trades experience.
A valid motor vehicle operator’s license may be required for employment in some positions.

Knowledge of principles, equipment, and tools involved in fire prevention, grounds maintenance, building maintenance, and cleaning work.
Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects and bend, stretch, twist, or reach with one’s body, arms, and/or legs.
Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken or written words and sentences.
Ability to communicate information in writing and speaking so others will understand.
Ability to manage one’s own time and the time of others.
Ability to teach others how to do something.
Ability to monitor/assess performance of self to make improvements or take corrective action.
Ability to troubleshoot to determine causes of operating errors in equipment such as mower, trimmer, vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, or other maintenance and custodial equipment.
