Responsibilities

  • Trains and leads the custodial staff at TSP.
  • Oversees the custodial team by assigning tasks and monitoring their work.
  • Affords assistance to the custodial supervisor with scheduling and cleaning tasks throughout the park, while leading teams with indirect supervision.
  • Cleans restrooms by sanitizing showers, toilets, and sinks; washing floors and walls; cleaning mirrors; and emptying trash.
  • Maintains proper inventory and organization of cleaning supplies by stocking housekeeping closets.
  • Immediately bags, tags, and submits all lost and found items according to policy.
  • Monitors the grounds to collect trash and check for any necessary maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Experience equivalent to one year of custodial work.
  • Driver's License.

  • Knowledge of principles, equipment, and chemicals involved in cleaning work.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects and bend, stretch, twist, or reach with one’s body, arms, and/or legs.
  • Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Ability to manage one’s own time and the time of others.
  • Ability to teach others how to do something.
  • Ability to monitor/assess performance of self or others to make improvements or take corrective action.
  • Ability to troubleshoot to determine causes of operating errors in equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, or other custodial equipment.
