About the Role

The Temporary Video Producer Assistant collaborates with the video team, instructional designers, and graphic designers to create video content for educational online programs.

Responsibilities

  • Studio and on-location production: helping to organize the studios before and after any recording session.
  • Setting up lights, cameras, and sound equipment for recording sessions as assigned by the Video Production Manager and Video Producer Associate.
  • Act as camera operator, sound mixer, gaffer, or grip during recording sessions as assigned.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems and perform regular maintenance.
  • Ingest, log, sync, and organize media.
  • Post-production project setup, editing, on-lining, archiving video, delivery, and managing digital assets.
  • Assemble footage into string outs, rough, fine, and final cuts while maintaining professional standards.
  • Receive and implement notes regarding the editing of projects based on input from producers, instructional designers, and faculty members.
  • Perform initial color correction passes and preliminary sound sweetening.
  • Ensure quality control and consistency on final deliverables, utilizing and recommending advanced technologies, workflows, and post-production methodologies.
  • Archive and maintain records of master files, ensuring all footage is secured and backed up.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film, Communication, or a similar field is required.
  • At least 2-3 years of prior studio or on-set experience preferred.
