Key Responsibilities

  • Film, capture, and edit long-form YouTube content.
  • Create engaging video pacing, smooth transitions, and strong visual storytelling.
  • Ensure videos maintain audience attention throughout the content.
  • Learn and use the client's video editing software.
  • Record screen captures and software workflows.
  • Create accurate demonstrations showing real-world use cases and product features.
  • Present technical information in an easy-to-understand format.
  • Transform raw creator footage and interviews into engaging YouTube content.
  • Organize and package content to feel natural, entertaining, and educational.
  • Develop stories that connect with creators, editors, and filmmakers.
  • Apply YouTube best practices to editing workflows.
  • Create strong hooks within the first few seconds of videos.
  • Structure content with proper pacing and chapter organization.
  • Improve viewer retention and watch time through effective editing techniques.
  • Manage projects from pre-production through final delivery.
  • Work closely with writers, designers, art directors, and creator partners.
  • Ensure content aligns with brand guidelines and project goals.
  • Present rough cuts and edited versions to internal teams and clients.
  • Make revisions based on feedback.
  • Ensure technical accuracy and brand consistency before final delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in videography and video editing.
  • Strong experience creating long-form YouTube or digital content.
  • Experience handling the complete production process from planning to final delivery.
  • Ability to independently film, edit, and produce content.
  • Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and audience retention.
  • A portfolio, reel, or YouTube channel showcasing long-form video content.
  • Experience using professional mirrorless cameras such as Sony FX3.
  • Experience shooting in both studio and real-world environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of social media trends and creator culture.
  • Knowledge of internet-native editing styles and modern content formats.
  • Experience creating content for creators, influencers, or online personalities.
  • Experience producing software tutorials and technical demonstrations.
  • Familiarity with app walkthroughs and user experience content.
  • Experience using or experimenting with AI-powered creative tools.

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $70–$90 per hour (based on experience).
