Job Description

  • Assist with the set-up, running and tear-down of Lied Center events.
  • Hang and focus lights.
  • Change lamps.
  • Repair cables.
  • Run lighting consoles.
  • Move curtains.
  • Load and unload counterweight arbors.
  • Set-up and strike acoustical shell and large music ensembles.
  • Set up and run audio systems.
  • Set up and run cameras.
  • Run video projections.
  • Lay dance floor.
  • Sweep, mop, launder & press costumes.
  • Clean up production areas as needed.
  • Help repair, maintain all equipment.

Position Requirements

  • This position requires flexibility to work around performance schedules.
  • This position requires working on-site.
  • Perform physical tasks associated with this occupational group with or without accommodation.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in production or theatre experience (wardrobe, lighting, audio, video, and/or fly systems) obtained through coursework, volunteer, or paid work experience, as evidenced in application materials.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Supervisory experience in technical theatre, as evidenced in application materials.
  • Familiarity with multiple technical theatre systems, i.e. fly rail, audio, video, lighting, rough carpentry, as evidenced in application materials.
  • Wardrobe experience, as evidenced in application materials.
