Temporary Teacher - Teacher of the Deaf

About the role

The Department of Special Education at Nassau BOCES is seeking a temporary Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

The successful candidate will provide itinerant services to students in our schools and component districts.

Requirements

• NYS Certification: Deaf and Hard of Hearing is required
• Knowledge and experience working with students classified with hearing loss and/or deafness
• Experience with FM systems and cochlear implants is highly preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills are required
