About the role

This position involves overseeing and managing a team of workers, ensuring efficient and effective completion of assigned tasks. It also entails maintaining records and conducting employee evaluations.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze job orders, workload data, plans, specifications, sketches, and instructions.
  • Plan and coordinate work schedules and assignments for the work group.
  • Aim to anticipate and resolve potential issues by coordinating with other groups or reporting to higher levels.
  • Assign tasks, tools, equipment, and materials to workers; lay out work; interpret plans and instructions; instruct on work methods, equipment use, and safety practices.
  • Maintain close supervision of work operations; resolve problems; inspect work for quality and adherence to instructions/specifications.
  • Keep records of time, manhours, work progress, accidents, and injuries; prepare reports as needed.
  • Train subordinates; rate performance; handle leave requests; recommend disciplinary or commendatory actions; manage promotions, demotions, transfers, separations, and suggestions.
  • Comply with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policies and communicate support to subordinates.

    Requirements

    • Must be a US Citizen.
    • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
    • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
