Temporary- Security Officer (Pool)

Job Duties

• Patrol campus
• Report suspected crimes, accidents, or activities of a questionable/suspicious nature
• Keep records and prepare reports
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, walk, climb, and lift
• Meet written departmental directives
• Required to work nights/weekends/holidays or a shift or location that best meets the needs of the department
• Must be able to work in inclement weather or weather extremes
• May be confined to motor vehicle for an entire shift
• May be exposed to hazardous materials, infectious disease, bloodborne pathogens, steam, car battery acid, loud noises, smoke and fire
• May be required to be knowledgeable and able to correctly use personal protective equipment
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications

• Unarmed security guard licensure through the Tennessee Department of Insurance and Commerce

Pay Rate

$20.00 per hour
