Temporary Seasonal Employee 2026 - Lake Pueblo State Park

About the role

Responsibilities

• Visitor Services Technician: Greet visitors, provide information, assist with sales, operate cash register, handle reservations, maintain facilities, collect revenue, document complaints, and perform light maintenance.
• Aquatic Nuisance Species (ANS) Inspector: Inspect boats and personal watercraft, distribute brochures, educate on regulations, conduct inspections, document findings, and assist with special events.
• Park Maintenance Technician: Perform general park maintenance, operate and maintain equipment, provide information, assist with repairs, lift heavy objects, work outdoors, and perform other duties.
• Revenue Lead: Greet visitors, answer phones, count cash, provide information, assist with special events, and coordinate group picnics.
• Interpreter/Environmental Educator: Facilitate interpretive and environmental education programs, schedule and present programs, assist with special events, and manage park collections.

Requirements

Must have a valid Colorado drivers' license or reliable transportation. Previous experience handling money and working with the public is preferred. Computer experience is helpful. May need to undergo a criminal background investigation.

Qualifications

Must be at least 16 years old. Strong interpersonal communication skills are required. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and various shifts is necessary. Physical requirements include standing for long periods and lifting up to 75 pounds.

Skills

Effective communication, public relations, and customer service skills are essential. Ability to work independently and follow park regulations and policies is required.
