About the role

The Temporary Seasonal Emergency Department RN-South Bay position is a non-benefitted role with a commitment duration of 5 months from date of hire. This position requires working every other weekend and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency by exhibiting leadership, delegation, and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Develops and implements individualized plans of care, ensuring multidisciplinary collaboration and patient education.
• Maintains patient safety by monitoring progress, addressing pain and anxiety, and ensuring proper medication administration.
• Ensures a clean, orderly, and functional work environment while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Provides courteous and compassionate care to patients and families, actively listening to their needs and ensuring their satisfaction.
• Works collaboratively with other departments and team members to resolve patient issues and improve processes.
• Adheres to attendance policies and participates in departmental training and professional development.

Requirements

• Minimum one (1) year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience in Emergency Department.
• Registered Nurse License (California).
• Basic Life Support.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
