Temporary Researcher

Summer research project with the municipal library in Gunnison. Students are designing and fabricating a drop box for the city library. The project follows a capstone-style format with instructor-led reviews and guidance throughout the process.

About the role

The project runs from June 1st to July 31st. A team of three students is fabricating the product, which will be delivered to the client at the end of July.

Responsibilities

• Support students in the design and fabrication of the client’s product in partnership with the municipal library in Gunnison.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with the Gunnison WCU/CU Engineering Partnership Program and supporting students through their research projects.

Pay

$85 per hour.
