TEMPORARY Registered Counselor (12 week assignment)
About the role
Temporary full-time (12 weeks) opportunity for a Registered Counselor in California. The counselor will offer support and assistance to patients enrolled in Medication Assisted Treatment for opioid use disorder, utilizing evidence-based practices and a trauma-informed approach. The role involves helping patients develop individualized coping techniques and symptom management skills to improve their quality of life, collaborating with doctors, nurses, and a multidisciplinary team to evaluate patient progress and develop individualized plans of care.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service at regularly scheduled intervals based on patient need, best practices, and state regulations; coordinate all services throughout treatment.
- Conduct initial assessment and evaluation to determine eligibility for services.
- Complete Bio-psychosocial assessment.
- Establish individualized treatment plan with each patient and review as clinically indicated.
- Respond, as needed, to patient grievances and complaints.
- Develop aftercare and discharge plans.
- Other related duties as determined by supervisor.
Qualifications
- Registered Counselor in the State of California.
- Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals a plus.
- Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population.
- Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
Pay
Salary ranges from $22.00 to $24.00 an hour. The salary of the candidate(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, specialty, and training.
